I sold my favorite little ebonized red oak bowl at the Haddonfield Arts and Crafts festival last weekend. With all of the maple and elm, ash, and regular red oak bowls on display, that one was my little spring lamb of contrast. Of course I’m glad it found a home, but I missed it. So I dug through the pile and found some more red oak.
This time I experimented with adding a whitewashing step at the end with the help of some liming wax and left the rim clean for a little drama 🤙
